Super Schools Wales Awards Fund

Awards are made to children who have exceptional sporting ability and are already competing with distinction at regional and national level. The Super Schools Awards Committee asks candidates/parents to provide a coach's assessment of the applicant's current status in their sport and an indication of the level of potential in continuing to progress to competing at senior level nationally or internationally. A recommendation from the governing body of the sport concerned is also of value to the committee's assessment procedure. Awards are likely to be made where the greatest level financial need exists.

In recent years, Super Schools Awards have been made to competitors in the following sports: athletics, badminton, gymnastics, fencing, judo, karate, squash, trampolining, swimming, table tennis, skiing, and modern pentathlon.
